PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Marian is undertaking a PhD in archaeological geochemistry. Her research is focused on using trace element and isotope analysis to identify the trophic levels, diet, and mobility of Gigantopithecus blacki in China. Prior to beginning her PhD, Marian completed a Master's degree in geoarchaeology focusing on the mobility and diet of prey species at sites in Israel and France. She has worked in consulting archaeology and has undertaken fieldwork extensively, both nationally and internationally, and has presented her research at conferences run by bodies such as EAA, UISPP, WAC and AAA. She is currently the Vice Chair of the World Archaeology Congress (student committee) and is its representative for Australia.
