Professor Maxime Aubert is an archaeologist and geochemist specialising in the development and application of analytical techniques to key questions in human evolution such as the dating of rock art and hominin fossils. His work has been named in the top-10 scientific breakthroughs of 2014 and 2020 by the influential scientific journal Science. He is also a National Geographic Explorer and a world-renowned authority on human evolution.
