Celebrating Stories, Not Just Cars
The Old Crock’s Run returns on Sunday 3 May, featuring the iconic Roaring Start on Hutt Street and the Roaring Finish at Wigley Reserve, Glenelg, with entries opening on 1 February — mark the date and get ready to be part of this celebrated motoring tradition.

More Than Just Old Vehicles
The Old Crock’s Run has always been about far more than the age of the vehicles taking part.
While the event proudly celebrates early motoring and the pioneers who helped shape Australia’s motoring history, its true purpose is to celebrate the entire journey of motoring — from the very first cars and motorcycles to the vehicles we enjoy today.
Organisers see the Old Crock’s Run as a rolling timeline of motoring evolution. Each vehicle, whether it is nearly a century old or relatively modern, represents a moment in that journey. Together, they tell the story of how design, engineering, technology and everyday transport have changed over time — and how every vehicle, in its own way, will one day become part of that history.
The event is equally about people. It brings together long-time enthusiasts, families, restorers, first-time entrants and younger participants, encouraging the next generation to appreciate where motoring has come from and where it is heading.
By running vehicles as they were intended — on the road, not hidden away — the Old Crock’s Run keeps motoring history alive, relevant and accessible. It is a celebration of movement, memory and community, reminding us that today’s modern car is simply tomorrow’s historic vehicle. At its heart, the Old Crock’s Run is a shared celebration of motoring in all its forms — past, present and future.
