0830 members met up at Dead Man’s Pass Reserve our new starting point, a nice young lady walking her dog stopped and took a group photo of us all, unfortunately I didn’t get a photo as it is on Ian’s Camera.

We commenced our ride out at 0900 by Trevor’s well illustrated map route which he made sure everybody read and digested, no excuses for getting lost. We travelled up Gawler One Tree Hill, road traffic was light considering it was a working day. We turned left at the Kersbrook Road Roundabout to travel through the National Park.

Some of us had never been up past the park gates, it is all bituminized these days. We drove through the South Para ford which was thankfully dry, this put us onto the South Para road which took us to Yettie Road. The drive through the national park was quite exhilarating. I think Trevor was suggesting we take up rally driving, it was miss the large potholes and the odd dead kangaroo.

After that experience we arrived at Williamstown where we turned onto Queen Street and parked up at the Victoria Creek parking area which is opposite the bakery, once again the staff were prepared for us thanks to Trevor giving the prior notice the we would be coming.

We spent a pleasant hour there sampling the selection of cakes and pies and enjoying the fellowship and chatter over a coffee. After that some of our members went on to Bethany for the remainder of the day.

Once again thank you Trevor for organizing the run and to the others who attended.
